Lourdes Illa-Cournoyer, RN

Manager of 3nd Floor Medical Surgical Unit

Mrs. Lourdes Illa-Cournoyer has been a member of Larkin Community Hospital for over two years and has been a nurse since 2010. Lourdes’s leadership qualities led to her appointment as nurse manager of the 3rd Floor Medical-Surgical Unit and Avasys Monitoring System. Lourdes will begin her MSN in January 2016 with a specialization in nursing administration. Lourdes is also working on obtaining ANCC Certification in Nursing Administration.

Orlando Hendrick

Director of Critical Care Unit/Emergency Room Department

Mr. Hendrick is the newest member of our Larkin leadership team. He is the Director of the Emergency Room Department and the Intensive Care Unit. Orlando currently holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from American International University, and will soon be pursuing a Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration. Mr. Hendrick has over 27 years in nursing with experience in emergency, critical care, progressive care, transport nurse, leadership, and home health. He is also a member of AACN.

Ivonne Gonzalez McCrink

Manager of 2nd Floor Medical Surgical Unit,
Dermatology, IV Team, Wound Care and Nursing Supervisors

Ms. Gonzalez has been at Larkin Community Hospital since May 2012. She is responsible for managing the Medical Surgical Unit 2nd Floor, Dermatology Unit, Wound Care Team, IV Tech and Nursing Supervisors. She has a nursing degree from Miami Dade College and a Bachelor of Science in Biology From Florida International University. She has over 15 years of experience in nursing in a variety of settings such as pediatrics, home health, ICU, PICU, step-down and pediatric oncology. She is currently pursuing her BSN degree.

Crucita Gonzalez

Surgical Services Director

Ms. Gonzalez has been a member of the Larkin management team for two years. She oversees Endoscopy, Surgery, Pre-admitting, Neuroscience, Ambulatory, and Central Services. Ms. Gonzalez is a recent BSN graduate and will be pursuing her Master’s degree in Nursing in the very near future.

Nicholas D. Torres

Infection Control, Employee Health, Education & Informatics Director

Mr. Torres has been with Larkin Community Hospital since 2007 and a member of the management team for over four years. He is responsible for the Education, Employee Health, Infection Prevention & Control and Nursing Informatics Departments. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida International University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing Executive and a Master in Business Administration. Mr. Torres has over nine years of nursing experience in a variety of settings including long term/nursing home care, rehabilitation, dialysis, home health, pediatric, adult, medical/surgical, telemetry, medical intensive care, neuro intensive care, burn unit, trauma and emergency services.
